Amanda Holloway Photography | Gypsy Summer & Soul Debut

Times have changed since I began photography six years ago. Seniors used to want all glam and perfection with perfectly posed portraits and while I was more than happy to give that to them (and really grew my business both locally and industry wide shooting it) I am also happy to see this industry take a slight turn. Two years ago I began to notice a fresh breeze blow through the media industry. Perfect poses moved more towards natural movement, perfect bodies became more the natural average type , and the super fierce face gave way to a more natural smile. I welcomed it with open arms. I began pulling back on my Photoshop editing to allow a more natural look to my clients. I began relaxing my posing to allow for a more genuine personality to show through. And I began to shoot more movement… the fluttering of a dress hem, the twirl of a girl in a field, the flow of hair. It has all finally started to come together and has now finally hit the senior market as well.

I am absolutely in love with all of my clients’ wonderful personalities. Each girl is so different in every way and they each shine in their senior pictures. When asked why they chose to hire me, the number one answer I get is because I allow my clients’ personalities to come through in their images. THAT means the world to me.

So, without further adieu, I am so excited to finally debut my Gypsy Summer & Soul video. I wanted this video to embody the very movement, natural beauty and freedom that has finally hit our senior industry. I hope you love it as much as I do.
